The Berrien UU Fellowship Board, on behalf of the congregation, voted 3/21/22 to endorse the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act. The Act if passed, puts a fee on fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas. It starts low, and grows over time. This will drive down carbon pollution because energy companies, leading industries, and American consumers will move toward cleaner, cheaper options. The money collected from the carbon fee is allocated in equal shares every month to the American people as a Dividend.  The dividend would be $2974 for a family of 4 in year 10, if implemented.  See the link for more information.https://energyinnovationact.org/how-it-works/
