Sunday Service: "Volunteer Appreciation"

We are dedicating the last Sunday service of the church year, June 30th, to our BUUF volunteers. This includes our volunteer board members, RE teachers, building and grounds maintenance crew, soup kitchen volunteers, those who provide refreshments after service and those who clean up afterward, our BUUF Musicians, volunteer Sunday service presenters, and so many, many others. These individuals have kept our fellowship true to its mission and operational through their sustained efforts.

Join us this Sunday to show appreciation for our volunteers and be recognized for your own volunteer efforts. During the service, Dorothy Long and Sandy Walker will share their perspectives on volunteering and the meaning they derive from it. Lois Sundstrom will bring us the Story for All Ages and Harvey Johnson will be sitting in the Poet’s Corner. Rev. Jim McConnell will deliver a homily entitled “Will the Last One Out Shut Off the Lights?”

Since it is the last Sunday of the month, Gloria Weberg will lead us in the Fabric of Life ceremony to honor those dear to us who have passed. The service will also include two special musical numbers: Ralph Heibutzki will perform “Amazing Grace” and the BUUF Musicians will sing “Come Sunday.”

Following the service, everyone is invited to enjoy a delicious Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon and light entertainment provided by the Membership team. Come and celebrate another fruitful year and the loving contributions made by you and your fellow BUUFers!
