October 26, 2021 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Dr. Clark Gilpin

The BUUF Social Justice Committee will meet on Tuesday, October 26, at 7:00 pm.  The agenda will include the following items:

Lisa Fuller will report on the Unified Civic Monuments Project (www.unifiedmonuments.org), which is developing civic monuments in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph honoring Martin Luther King and the continuing movement for racial justice.

We will consider planning a film study series on social and environmental justice, a discussion we began at our September meeting.

We will discuss our priorities for public policy initiatives. This includes collaboration with local social service organizations and the Michigan Unitarian Universalist Social Justice Network.

Lisa Fuller has provided a summary of Sunday service themes for November and December. Members of the Social Justice Committee are encouraged to offer a 3-to-5-minute social justice message related to these themes.
