Here Comes that Rainbow Again!

Benton Harbor, Michigan (March 16, 2017) – On Thursday, March 30, The Livery is hosting a Community Pint Night to benefit the OutCenter– a great opportunity to support the OutCenter mission and programs.

Stop by that night 5-8 PM with friends and family for #ThinkB4USpeak #LoveB4UListen #SingTruthtoPower. Enjoy a cold one while basking in the warmth of The Livery’s friendly interior. Listen to live music celebrating love, justice, truth and other great American values! The Pipestone Road Irregulars, Jan Burda, Terri Rach, Bill Schnell, Aiden Schnell, Fred Story, Bride O’Shaunessy, Dennis Waite, Max Miller, and Jessica Dettman, along with Leslie and Nathan Sypian of The Sypian Family Band, will be the evening’s entertainment.

Also, two prizes will be offered. The best bow tie wins a Joshua Nowicki photograph, and there will be a chance to win a Ukulele from Jan Burda’s shop in Berrien Springs.

“Now more than ever LGBTQ+ people, their families and allies look to area establishments and communities for support and a sense of belonging within the greater community of Southwest Michigan,” says Todd Dockerty, OutCenter Board Chair. “And we are so very pleased that The Livery, Pipestone Road Irregulars, and Leslie and Nathan Sypian are helping bring people together in celebration of community,” added Mary Jo Schnell, Executive Director.

The mission of the OutCenter is to provide LGBTQ+ people and their families support and advocacy. We work to establish respect, understanding and nondiscrimination of LGBTQ+ people in Southwest Michigan. We fulfill that mission through direct services, as well as change-oriented initiatives.
