Sunday, October 6th, 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

Mary Jo Schnell, Director of the OutCenter, will be speaking on “LGBTQ History: What does it mean in 2019?” during this Sunday’s service. Mary Jo has been with the OutCenter since 2012 where she oversees many programs in advocacy and education, including the LGBTQ+ Safe Schools Collaborative and the Teen Pride Genders & Sexualities Alliance. The Alliance is a student club for LGBTQ+ and allies where fun activities help students learn about themselves, the history of the LGBTQ+ movement, and become leaders in their own right. The program also provides important social events such as Pride Prom, Graduation Party, Holiday Parties, and the OutCenter Teen Halloween Party which is hosted annually at BUUF. Please join us as we strive to renew our UUA designation as a Welcoming Congregation.

Before the Sunday service there will be a BUUF Musicians Rehearsal beginning at 9:30 AM. The BUUF Board will meet from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Following the service, there will be a Potluck Brunch and a Fall Workday organized by BUUF Board Member Diane Gibbons.
