Sunday, August 18th, 10:30 AM -11:30 AM

Every year in June, Unitarian Universalists from all over the United States gather for General Assembly (GA), where participants discuss and vote on important issues of faith, hear reports from UUA leaders, and elect the Board of Trustees. This year General Assembly was held in Spokane, Washington. This Sunday we’ll see and hear much of the GA Sunday morning service with the sermon by Rev. Marta I. Valentin. “After exploring el poder de nosotros/the power of we, what are we ready to do/¿que estamos listo para hacer? Let’s not be servants of the past in new cups. Let’s all get free by planting faithful seeds of change and together turn to free the faith we love.”

The service will be led by BUUF member Gretchen Ohmann, who is Technology Coordinator for the MidAmerica UUA Region, and a leader in the Continental UU Women and Religion. Some music will be provided by the GA musicians, with additional music by Candace Onweller.
