In partnership with Michigan Interfaith Power & Light (https://MIIPL.org), the MI Interfaith GOTV Campaign will do textbanking to ask people to 1) pledge to vote with climate in mind; 2) ask three friends to do the same; and 3) provide the names of the three friends, so they can be reminded to remind them on election day!
Your opening line will be: “Hi, I’m (name), an Interfaith Power & Light volunteer. As a person of faith, I am called to protect future generations and our most vulnerable neighbors from climate change, so I pledged to vote. Will you join me in pledging to vote November 3rd with climate in mind?”

At their textbank party last week, MI Interfaith reached over 10,000 voters and shared 150 of their voter guides. Also, on Oct 15, we’ll have a phonebanking party with UUs nationally invited, then a watch party for the debate that night.
