From the Desk of Dr. Clark Gilpin…

Interfaith Action of Southwest Michigan has the mission of bringing justice-oriented and interfaith voices into public discussions ranging from immigration policies to protecting the environment. Interfaith Action’s director, Sid Mohn, has announced a fundraising goal of $6,000 to support the organization’s budget for the 2021 calendar year. Currently, Interfaith Action pursues its mission through four working groups.

  1. Green Faith: To protect and preserve our environment
  2. Keep the Peace: To reduce deaths and injuries from gun violence and from war
  3. Dignity of All: To advance inclusive communities where all people are valued and celebrated regardless of their race, religion, class, gender identity, or sexual orientation
  4. No Longer a Stranger: To create a welcoming space for the newcomer and to influence government institutions for the implementation of fair, just, and generous refugee and immigration policies and practices

Interfaith Action hopes to receive donations and pledges toward its $6000 goal by January 15, 2021. To learn more about Interfaith Action’s program initiatives or to make a secure donation by credit card, please visit its website https://swmichinterfaith.org.
