Registration for this summer’s ChaliceSparx Family Camp & Retreat for Unitarian Universalist families is now open. Join other UU families July 8-10 in Cassopolis, Michigan for an amazing all ages experience at lovely Camp Friedenswald. Participants have the choice of booking a room in the lodge or setting up a tent or camper in a nearby open field. Meals are included, and camp volunteers are eligible for an enrollment discount.

At ChaliceSparx, you will experience a truly multigenerational community. There are no camp counselors to whisk away the children separate from their families. Camp participants all learn together, worship together and explore together in a community of all ages – including elders who complete the multigenerational village. As an intentional UU covenanted community, the camp is especially welcoming to Trans children, youth and their families.

Campers also have fun together. Swimming, hiking or riding a wagon through the trails, canoeing, archery, popcorn popped in a kettle over an open fire, and of course, s’mores and singing camp songs. Camp leaders include our very own Gretchen Ohmann and Michelle Richards, Credentialed UU Religious Educator at the Master Level.
