In coordination with the Michigan UU Social Justice Network, BUUF is participating in the UUA’s ‘UU the Vote’ project. I am leading BUUF’s Get Out the Vote initiative along with Vicki Dwyer Thomas, Jim Fuller, and Nancy Gilpin. We want to make a difference in increasing voter participation this year–especially to encourage participation from friends, family and neighbors, as well as those who are under-represented when it comes to elections–people who are less likely to vote, even though they may be eligible. This is a non-partisan effort to encourage voter participation, regardless of party affiliation.

Click here to record your contact information if you’d like to be involved in a planning meeting with me and other BUUFers. Michigan is a focus state for the 2020 general election. Even if you do not live in Michigan, you can phone bank (make calls) to improve voter participation here.

In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about phone banking, join MUUSJN UU the Vote Project Manager Sharon Pedersen this Tuesday evening (July 28, 7:30 PM ET) for a Zoom training session.  Simply reply to this email to request log-in information for the Tuesday meeting.
