Dear Members and Friends of Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship,

As Beth La Fleur mentioned during our annual meeting, I will be stepping down as Director of Religious Education; my last day will be June 30th. It is with great excitement that I will be focusing on a career in the arts.

I wanted to sincerely thank all of you for the opportunity to work as DRE for the past three years. I have learned so much about Unitarian Universalism, leadership, spirituality, justice and so, so much more. The job helped me to feel secure in my abilities as a leader and I will take this knowledge with me in my future endeavors.

The very best part of the job though was getting to know the amazing, heartfelt and generous people of BUUF, it has truly been an honor to get to know you and your kindness. The job was a wonderful experience that I will forever treasure.

I look forward to continuing as chair of the Welcoming Congregation Committee and serving BUUF as a volunteer. I feel like BUUF is home and its people, my family. I look forward to being a member for many years to come.

With gratitude, love, and best wishes for BUUF’s continued growth and success,

Katharine Lion
