This Sunday, April 3rd, the theme of our BUUF service is “Working Towards a Sustainable Future.” It is also an intergenerational service so the young ones will remain in the service for the entire hour. For the intergenerational service, everyone is invited to make a small, take home flower garden for themselves. Additionally, Brett Maccani will share a Story for all Ages that has to do with Trans visibility, June Blackwell, Ralph Heibutzki, Harvey Johnson, and Diane Gibbons will each share one thing they think we can do, politically, environmentally, technologically, or spiritually to make a sustainable future. Also, Rev. Jim McConnell will bring a message titled: “Putting our Hands to the Plow: A Prescription for Hope” and Beth La Fleur will have some more great music for us.
Come in person or on Zoom. Bring a friend.
After the service and a brief Circle Talk, we will have our Earth Day Luncheon / First-Sunday-of-the-Month Potluck. We hope everyone will stay for this. The Ethical Eating and Green Sanctuary teams are hosting the luncheon and will bring several vegetarian dishes. However, all BUUFers are invited to bring a dish of any sort if they so wish. You do not need to bring a dish to participate in the luncheon. You do not need to attend the service to participate in the luncheon. Just come out and join in the fun! The luncheon will start at approximately 12 noon.
