Sunday Service: "Winter Solstice Celebration!" @ Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship | St. Joseph | Michigan | United States

This Sunday, December 19th, we’ll be celebrating Winter Solstice, which takes place on Tuesday, December 21st. Through the ages, northern peoples have honored Winter Solstice as the end of the darkness and the return of longer days, through celebrations such as Yule and Christmas. Learn about these traditions as our young ones use theater to tell their stories.

This Sunday we’ll also be taking up a special collection to replenish our Care Fund. The Fund was established about two years ago to provide emergency financing to BUUF members and friends who encounter an unexpected, unavoidable expense they cannot afford (such as an emergency car repair or medical bills). Rev. Jim and Lisa Fuller oversee the fund and review all applications. Funds have been allocated for emergency use in both 2020 and 2021. Any plate contributions this Sunday (besides regular pledges) will be added to the Care Fund.

Our children have been working hard learning their roles and preparing for this service. It is sure to be a delight! Please join us in person or on Zoom!
