Sunday Service: "The Luxury of Labor" @ Zoom Meeting

This Sunday, May 3rd, BUUF will celebrate “International Worker’s Day.”  In his sermon titled: “The Luxury of Labor,” Rev. Jim McConnell will talk  about the history of the organized labor movement and examine the luxury of having work that fulfills the Soul. Harvey Johnson will be our reader. Nancy Gilpin will read a poem, Jim Fuller will tell the Story for All Ages, and Lois Sundstrom will perform Chalice duties. There will also be a lot of really great music performed or chosen by our BUUF Musicians. Nico Rojas will be our technical guide.

The service will be conducted over Zoom. The Zoom link, Meeting ID and password will be sent out on Saturday with the emailed Order of Service. Please check your inbox! If you don’t receive the Order of Service by end of day Saturday, please email Joanne Krettek at office@berrienuu.org or call her at 269-612-8886.

“There is no greater calling than to serve your fellow man. There is no greater contribution than to help the weak. There is no greater satisfaction than to have done it well. There is no power in the world that can stop the forward march of free men and women when they are joined in the solidarity of human brotherhood.”
Walter Reuther, President of the United Auto Workers 1946 to 1970
