Our Unitarian Universalist Six Sources is the theme for our March Sunday Services. To welcome the Vernal Equinox, this Sunday we’ll focus on “Spiritual teachings of Earth-centered traditions which celebrate the sacred circle of life and instruct us to live in harmony with the rhythms of nature.” Join the service Live or via Zoom to participate in a simplified version of the Greek myth of Persephone, daughter of Zeus and Demeter, goddess of the earth. We will play-act in a way that even the most shy participants can easily join in. The story of Demeter & Persephone is a story of mothers and daughters, and also a story of the seasons. “So often, our lives reflect the natural world we live in and we can find our answers there, if we just look,” says Teresa LaPlante, former BUUF Director of Religious Education and author of our play.
