This Sunday, January 5th, Rev. Jim McConnell will bring a message titled “Like a Fish Out of Water: Thresholds in Consciousness.” In it he will discuss spiritual awakening at different developmental points in our lives. Some of these developmental points (thresholds) are very common like coming into a full time awareness of self which occurs when a child becomes 7 or 8. Other thresholds in consciousness are far less common and only happen for a relatively small number of human beings, like the realization that perception is not reality and that we are the creators of our worlds. Additionally, Connie and Charlie Johnson will be our readers, Harvey Johnson will bring us a poem, Bridget Lorenz will tell the Story for All Ages, and The BUFF Musicians have some great music to share.
