This Sunday, guest student minister Joshua Berg relates Jesus’ humanism to our country’s abortion debate in his sermon ‘Jesus’ Humanism and Reproductive Justice’ and he’ll share a reading from the book “Shout Your Abortion”.

Joshua is a Masters of Divinity student at Meadville Lombard, currently fulfilling his internship at Northwest UU in Southfield, Michigan. Joshua is a member of the Board of Directors of The Humanist Society, and a contributing writer to The Humanist magazine and TheHumanist.com, as well as other publications. Joshua and his family are members of First Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Ann Arbor.

After service, enjoy First Sunday potluck from 11:30-12:00, then join Joshua from 12:00-12:30 for a discussion of the service. At First Sunday Potluck everyone is encouraged to participate. Some bring a dish to pass, others help clean up, and some simply bring their appetite. All are welcome!
