Sunday Service: "Family and Cultural Traditions" @ Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship | St. Joseph | Michigan | United States
This Sunday, December 5th, is an intergenerational experience. Our theme of the Month is “Tradition.” Our service will be a bit of a double header. We will discuss the place tradition has in our lives by inviting anyone who wishes, including the children, to share a tradition that is important to them. It can be a family tradition, a National tradition, or a tradition that you admire from anywhere around the world.
We will also indulge ourselves in some “cultural appropriation/appreciation” by celebrating Holi, The Festival of Colors, from India. Holi is the celebration of the triumph of good over darkness. This will involve a craft project so everyone is invited to bring a pair of scissors suitable for cutting colored paper or fabric. Additionally, every child present will receive a gift.
See you there in person or on Zoom.
