Sunday Service: "Fall Equinox"

This Sunday, September 20th, we will celebrate the Fall Equinox and the coming of autumn. As you enter the virtual circle, you’ll be asked to share a sacred object or item from nature to add to the fall altar. Or you may even want to create a fall alter yourself! Decorate it with your favorite items of the season, such as fall flowers, nuts, small pumpkins or gourds, apples, scented candles and spices. Pour yourself a glass of mulled cider or juice to sip during the service. And don’t forget to bring your Wheel of the Year to see where the Fall Equinox fits into the ancient natural celebrations of each season. If you don’t have a copy of the Wheel, you can find one here. (Note: Featured image is a Wheel of Year created by Lisa Quinlan.)

This is an intergenerational service welcoming to both children and adults. There will be singing and chanting, with meditative movement led by Joan Guilfoyle. Children will assist with calling the four directions. Come and find balance and joy, as we honor this time of equal night and day.

The Zoom link, Meeting ID and password will be sent out on Saturday with the emailed Order of Service. Please check your inbox! If you don’t receive the Order of Service by end of day Saturday, please email Joanne Krettek at office@berrienuu.org or call her at 269-612-8886.
