This Sunday, October 18th, the theme of the service is “Democracy and Voter Suppression.” Lisa Fuller and Rev. Jim McConnell will both bring messages about the state of our democracy. Lisa’s talk will be titled, “Voter Suppression” and Jim’s talk is titled “When We Hate, the Only Voter We Suppress is Ourselves.”
Additionally, Ellen Higdon and Lisa Quinlan will be our readers, there will be another great Story for All Ages, and The BUUF Musicians have some more enriching music. We are also going to actually practice democracy by taking a vote on a subject around which there has been some controversy. (This will not be an official congregational vote). So come, join in, grow, and be inspired.
