This Sunday, December 20th, we will celebrate the shortest day, longest night in the Northern Hemisphere, the Winter Solstice. Gloria Weberg will provide words for our chalice ceremony. Joanne Krettek will lead us in a snowflake ceremony to release our worries, and Katharine Lion will lead a meditation to set intentions for the new year. Nan Lundeen will revisit the Wheel of the Year and give insight to the meaning of Winter Solstice. The La Fleur, Lorenz, Krettek, Lion-Rojas, and Fuller families will each provide a story for all ages from a different culture. We’ll also have a winter chant performed by Harvey and Trish Johnson, vocal and instrumental performances by the La Fleur and Lorenz families, and Gretchen Ohman and granddaughter Lia shining their little light. Join us in celebrating the tilt of our Earth back toward the light.

For the snowflake ceremony, please have handy the snowflake template from your BUUF holiday gift bag. If you didn’t receive a template or used yours already, you can access and print a new template here.

The Zoom link, Meeting ID and password will be sent out on Saturday with the emailed Order of Service. If you don’t receive the Order of Service by end of day Saturday, please email Joanne Krettek at office@berrienuu.org or call her at 269-612-8886.
