Sunday Service: "Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. Day" @ Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
This Sunday, January 20th, we will celebrate Martin Luther King. Jr. Day, by examining some of his most often quoted words: “Hate cannot drive out hate, only love can do that.”
Some of the BUUF children will help us open the service. Joan Guilfoyle and Jim Dagleish will be our readers, Katharine Lion will bring us a poem, and Gloria Weberg will read our Story for All Ages. Our BUUF musicians will share some special music with us, Ralph Heibutzki will lead us in a benedictory song, Candace Onweller will be at the piano, and Harvey Johnson will lead us in song. Lisa Fuller will teach the RE class for children. Rev. Jim McConnell will deliver a message titled: “Hate, the Crack-Cocaine of Emotions; Love, the Pathway to Emotional Strength.”
Come and celebrate one of the most important figures in American history.
