Sunday Service: "An Idiot's Guide to Being a Successful Idiot" @ Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
The theme for this Sunday, November 17th is the Spirituality of Mistakes. Everyone makes mistakes. Big mistakes, small mistakes, mistakes that hurt others and ourselves, and colossal mistakes that only and idiot would make.
Rev. Jim McConnell’s sermon is titled, “An Idiot’s guide to Being a Successful Idiot.” In it he will discuss how making mistakes can help us grow by forcing us to decide if we are going to pull into ourselves in an attempt to eliminate stress and anxiety or whether we are going to press ahead in the face of society’s and our own disapproval and create new ways of being Human.
As usual, the BUUF musicians will have some great music for us and other BUUFers will bring readings, poetry, and a Story for All Ages. In addition, we will offer an Ingathering Ceremony for any individuals who want to sign our membership book and become new members of our fellowship.
As a prelude to our service, please watch this 2-minute Charlie Chaplin Video.
