This Sunday, January 31st, we continue with our theme of “Grace and Mercy.” The focus of our service is: “Aging Well.” Our special guest speaker is Rosemary Cox of Sage-ing International. Additionally, Lois Sundstrom will do our Chalice work and Janice Zerfas will bring us a poem. To celebrate The Wheel of the Year turning once again on Feb. 1, or Imbolc, halfway between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, we will hear the Story for All Ages, Brigid’s Eve, written and read by Nan Lundeen, illustrations by Katharine Lion. The Lorenz family will round off the presentation with a musical round, “Holy Water, Sacred Flame.” Julie Williams will share her thoughts on aging, and the BUUF Musicians have some really wonderful music for us. If you are planning on getting older, this would be a great service to join.  See you on Zoom!
Those on our Order of Service distribution list will receive an Order of Service email on Saturday with the Zoom login details. If you are not on this list and would like to attend, please email Joanne Krettek at office@berrienuu.org or call her at 269-612-8886 for Zoom information.

Ms. Rosemary Cox is a Lead Facilitator and Education Coordinator with Sage-ing International and a retired social worker with broad experience in healthcare, groups, elder community development, brain health, and retreat leadership. She is co-author of the Heart of Aging program. Rev. Jim McConnell has attended and helped conduct several workshops with Ms. Cox on the spiritual dimension of aging.

“The great thing about getting older is that you don’t lose all the ages you have been.”
