State of the Fellowship Meeting

Dear Members and Friends of Berrien UU Fellowship, you are warmly invited (and eagerly encouraged) to join the BUUF Board of Trustees for a State of the Fellowship conversation Sunday Feb 3 from 1:00-3:30 pm. This is the first in a series of three congregational meetings planned to promote conversation and inform decision making. Congregational meetings are an opportunity for you to have real conversation and dialogue with the Board before decisions are made.

Our current church year started June, 2018. The BUUF congregational business meeting–known simply as the Annual Meeting–is held annually on the first Sunday in June.  That meeting served as a wrap up for the ending church year and a look ahead at our current year.

In September the Board established goals based on congregant input and feedback from the Annual Meeting.

Next we gather for the State of the Fellowship meeting to look at where we are in terms of our mission, goals, finances, and strategic planning, and continue conversation about the future.

Finally, in March, the Board and congregation gather to talk about the budget for next year (July 1 – Jun 30) and announce our annual pledge drive.

If you like what’s going at BUUF, please attend these meetings (SOTF, Budget and Annual) to talk about how we can do more to further our mission of providing a spiritual community dedicated to diversity of thought, social and environmental justice, and peace for all.

If you don’t like what’s going on at BUUF, please come and talk about how we can better deliver on our mission.

Your input and feedback are what creates our community.  Without you there is no BUUF.  We are fortunate to have this place of worship in our community where it is safe to seek our own spiritual paths and work on justice issues, supported by others who covenant to live by our shared seven UU principles.
