Topic: New Moon Womyn’s Circle
Time: 6:30 – 9:00 pm, Thursday, March 31
Janice Zerfas is leading our circle this month. We had hoped to offer an in-person meeting plus Zoom since COVID numbers have improved so much, but some other (less dangerous) bugs have emerged locally. Janice and I have both been sick this week (Katharine, too!) and we know others who have also been sick. So, just to be safe:
We’ll meet virtually only this month.
Using a poem & memoir by Joy Harjo as a guided writing prompt, we’ll continue our theme of mothers (good, bad, indifferent, absent, etc) from last month. Janice will also share words from Victoria Chang’s collection of literary letters and mementos on the art of remembering across generations. For poet Chang, memory “isn’t something that blooms, but something that bleeds internally.”
