Community Conversations: "Welcoming Congregation Renewal" @ Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Community Conversations, Small Group Ministry & Welcoming Congregation Committee are teaming up to complete our Welcoming Congregation renewal with a module that informs, educates, and raises awareness about the issues and needs of the LGBTQ+ / TGQNB* community. Join us for this renewal seminar in the month of November with two different date/time opportunities. We will be watching the movie Treasure: From Tragedy to Trans Justice, Mapping a Detroit Story. Following the movie will be a UUA guided discussion. We will also learn the state of inequality for the LGBTQ+ / TGQNB* community in the nation & specifically in Michigan using the HRC State Equality Index.

Please contact dre@berrienuu.org for more details.

Read Rev. Michael J. Crumpler’s letter to UUA congregations for the state of welcoming congregations in the UU faith.

*LGBTQ+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer or Questioning + Intersex, Asexual and related communities / TGQNB stands for Transgender, Genderqueer and Non-Binary
