Brittany Packnett, a leader and advocate for social justice, gives a riveting speech on White Supremacy Culture and ‘calls us in’ to be not just a ‘not racist” but to be ACTIVELY anti-racist (as well as anti-homophobic, anti-transphobic, and anti-misogynist). She says, “The more you benefit from supremacy, the more responsible you have to be to dismantle it.” She suggests that we (UU’s) throw away our savior complexes and take up serving, that “we birth together this thing called freedom.” This lecture will give you much to think about and discuss.
