Sunday Service: "Show-and-Tell Day"

Sunday Service: "Show-and-Tell Day"

June 9, 10:30am - 11:30am

This Sunday, June 9th, is “Show-and-Tell” day at BUUF. Anyone who wishes can bring an object, a picture of an object, a person, an animal, or just a story that has spiritual significance. This could mean something related to a turning point in your life, an aha! moment, a time of enlightenment, a moment of great joy, a time of despair or any of a hundred other things. You decide.

The kids will have their own show-and-tell time. So if you have a little one, encourage him or her to bring a favorite item. Candace will be at the piano, Harvey Johnson will lead us in song, Jim Dalgleish and Gretchen Ohmann will bring a special music number titled: “Will the Wolf Survive?,” and Rev. Jim will have a very short sermon also titled: “Will the Wolf Survive?”

Everyone who wishes will have a chance to speak. So, we are asking you to try and keep your show-and-tell presentation to around 2 minutes. The service may be a bit longer than an hour.

Please come. Share. Be enriched!

June is Volunteer Month at BUUF!

Now that we've elected new members to our board, endowment and nominating committees, it's time to renew and refresh our non-elected teams as well. BUUF runs on volunteers! You can volunteer your talents in any number of areas, such as Building & Grounds, Caring, Green Sanctuary, Fundraising, Marketing, Membership, Ministry, Safe Sanctuary, Social Justice, Sunday Services, Welcoming Congregation, and more!

Sign-up sheets will be available in the sanctuary hallway through the end of June or you can email your interest to Office@BerrienUU.org. Come share your talents and help provide leadership, service and ideas in these important areas!

On Sunday, June 30th, BUUF will celebrate volunteerism with a "Volunteer Sunday" service led by Rev. Jim McConnell, followed by a Volunteer Recognition Luncheon, sponsored and prepared by the Membership team. Please plan to attend and be honored for your contributions.
