A Great Way to Start the New Year!

A Great Way to Start the New Year!

Join us at BUUF for a special Unitarian Universalist worship service titled "The Stories We Tell." Some of our BUUF story tellers will explore the power of stories—whether from their own lives , from ones they love, or just stories they find interesting—and share what they mean to them. Rev. Jim will offer a short sermon inspired by a fascinating story from the Nag Hammadi texts, titled "If You Know What You Are Doing." DRE Rachel Reed will present another wonderful Story for All Ages, and Beth La Fleur and the BUUF Musicians will fill the morning with joyful music. Whether you join us in person or on Zoom, this promises to be a meaningful and inspiring way to kick off the new year. See you there!
To join BUUF’s Sunday Service via Zoom, please click this link; Meeting ID: 973 1741 4085; Password: 354882. If you have trouble getting connected please contact Beth LaFleur (‭269-932-8598‬). To minimize background noise, please mute yourself unless you are speaking. Please leave your camera on; we love knowing you are there. We use the same Zoom link every Sunday.

From last Sunday's Hanukkah service:

"By lighting the menorah, we ignite the flame in our souls, the spark that cannot be extinguished. Our inner light must shine against the darkness of evil and indifference and must kindle the spirits of our fellow humans. The menorah reminds us that no matter how dark life may be, there remains a source of light deep inside us." Shared by Laurie Myers
