Senior Brunch
Wednesday, October 19th
11am-1pm
A monthly potluck brunch for seniors to listen to an expert in an area of their interest and/or discuss matters of concern. The topics and speakers are selected in advance by those attending. The age limit for being a “senior” is loosely applied, in case some youngsters are interested in the topic of discussion. We meet at BUUF from 11am to 1pm on the third Wednesday of each month. This series runs from October 19, 2016 through May 17, 2017. Please check our monthly calendar on our website or email our Director of Religious Education (DRE@Berrienuu.org) to confirm the date and topic for each month. We look forward to seeing you there!

Sunday Service
October 23
Join us this Sunday at 10:30 for a service titled, “The Secret Life of Trees”. The topic is the spiritual ramifications of recent scientific experiments that suggest plants possess intelligence and even consciousness. Rev. Jim McConnell will speak. Dorothy Long will lead service.
We will have a brief ceremony of thanks and dedication to the plants that sustain and enrich our lives, and we invite all to bring a plant to service. That’s right, pick out your favorite house plant and bring it along with you to service this week. It is sure to be a fun experience and a wonderful way to honor the flora of our planet.
