Listen to live music celebrating love, justice, truth and other great American values! The Pipestone Road Irregulars, Jan Burda, Terri Rach, Bill Schnell, Aiden Schnell, Fred Story, Bride O’Shaunessy, Dennis Waite, Max Miller, and Jessica Dettman, along with Leslie and Nathan Sypian of The Sypian Family Band, will be the evening’s entertainment.

Please join us for a lively discussion after we watch Caitlin Doughty speak on “A burial practice that nourishes the planet.”
Here’s a question we all have to answer sooner or later: What do you want to happen to your body when you die? Funeral Director Caitlin Doughty explores new ways to prepare us for inevitable mortality. In this thoughtful talk, learn more about ideas for burials (like “recomposting” and “conservation burial”) that return our bodies back to the earth in an eco-friendly, humble and self aware way.
Red Tent Women’s Gathering: Healing Stones

Join us as we gather in sacred space to sing, heal, center ourselves and invite peace into our lives through an informal Healing Stones ritual based on a tradition of the Quero of the high mountains of Peru. Bring a stone to donate or accept one as a gift from Red Tent. We will mix them and each pick one to take home. A love offering will buy a gift card for the Safe Shelter from Domestic Violence. All women of the community are welcome. Invite your friends. If you can, please bring a snack to share.

How important is listening, really actively listening? Please join us for Creative Conversations at BUUF on Wednesday, April 19, from 7-9 PM as we begin our discussion with watching Megan Phelps-Roper in her TedTalk titled “I grew up in the Westboro Baptist Church. Here’s why I left.”
What’s it like to grow up within a group of people who exult in demonizing …everyone else? Megan Phelps-Roper shares details of life inside America’s most controversial church and describes how conversations on Twitter were key to her decision to leave it. In this extraordinary talk, she shares her personal experience of extreme polarization, along with some sharp ways we can learn to successfully engage across ideological lines.
