Berrien UU Summer Day Camp @ Berrien Unitarian Universalist Fellowship

Berrien UU is hosting our first ever summer day camp for children and grandchildren of the Berrien UU fellowship! Camp will run daily from 9 AM to noon Monday, July 23 through Friday, July 27. Numerous adult volunteers will be assisting with the event, including Berrien UU’s minister (Jim McConnell) and Berrien UU’s former and current Directors of Religious Education (Dave Sarra, Katharine Lion). Attendance is open to all Berrien UU-affiliated children ages 3 to 12, and there is no cost to attend.

Camp will focus on developing our children’s skills in and appreciation for music, theater, art and environmental protection (in relation to UU principles). Camp will also incorporate elements of worship, team-building, written expression (for older children) and lots and lots of fun! On July 29th, children attending camp will help conduct the Sunday service, where they will sing, perform, share their artwork and written expressions, and greet members and guests as they arrive. This is a tremendous opportunity for children to connect, grow and explore their UU identity!
