BUUF Parent’s Night Out
Saturday, March 3rd

The church will provide one night of free babysitting a month so that young parents can have some time away for friendship and support. The kids will get snacks and story time. The parent’s group will meet up at a location of their choosing for dinner or some other activity. The first meet-up is scheduled for March 3rd at the Round Barn Public House. Kids drop off at BUUF at 5pm, dinner at 5:30, kids pick up at 8pm. Join our Facebook group by adding Katharine Lion, Keely Adams or Kristen Hecksel Lownds as a friend.

“The Secret of Happiness”

This Sunday, March 4th, Rev. Jim McConnell will speak on Happiness. Everyone wants to be happy. Yet, we often are not.

With the help of Mary Lou in the Poet’s Corner, Jim Fuller and Ralph Heibutzski as readers, Rachel Reed telling our Story for All Ages, and Lisa Fuller as song leader, we will attempt to find the path of true happiness. We will also seek out the advice of some thoughtful people who have important insights on the matter. These include: Mark Twain, Victor Frankel, Eleanor Roosevelt, Thich Nhat Hanh, and Jim’s grandmother, Virginia McConnell who often said: “People are as happy as they decide to be.” What could that mean?

If you already have too much happiness, you can stay home. Or, you could come and share your secret with the rest of us. You could even bring a friend. See you Sunday.
